Having toured the world as frontman of Scottish indie giants, Idlewild, acclaimed songwriter Roddy Woomble recently celebrated the 10-year anniversary of his debut solo album, My Secret Is My Silence.

With his new album, Roddy takes a darker more lo-fi direction held together by his trademark poetic lyrics, "evocative vocals and consummate gift for a tune.

Idlewild really need no introductions. From bursting into the music scene in 1995 the Edinburgh formed indie band were one of the first of its genre to break the mainstream with thei ir catchy riffs and post grunge sound.

Idlewild’s influence is undeniable, yet easily overlooked with a roaster of current Scottish indies following in their footsteps – would Frightened Rabbit or Biffy Clyro sound as they do without idlewilds musical presence?

Having headlined idelwild for the best part of 20 years Roddy has also built a parallel career as a leading voice in the indie folk scene over the past decade.

After seven studio albums with Idlewild and now on his fourth solo album his Horescross performance celebrates 10 years since the launch of roddy’s first studio album.

The 1^st of October is set to be a stellar performance not to be missed by all Roddy Woomble and Idlewild fans.
