Perthshire’s national treasure, singer-songwriter Dougie MacLean OBE has performed on some of the world’s biggest stages from New York’s Carnegie Hall to London’s Festival Theatre.

However his next concert will be a little closer to home at Cardney Steading - one of our area’s newest and most intimate venues, situated in an area that has inspired many of Dougie’s songs over the years.

Nestled on a hill with stunning woodland and loch views across the Perthshire countryside, The Cardney Concerts is the first musical event to take place at the venue and will give audiences a chance to see Dougie perform some of his hits alongside new material twice – on June 5th and 6th at 8pm.

And the acclaimed performer with a string of accolades to his name, including a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to song writing in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, is delighted to bring audiences to the area he calls home.

“I’m really proud to bring people to my home region. I’ve been doing it for years with our Perthshire Amber Festival, but it’s lovely to welcome people here in summertime,” said Dougie.
