CARERS CONFERENCE

Councillor Willie Wilson will be opening the event this year.

PKAVS is organising this year’s conference in partnership with NHS Tayside and Perth & Kinross Council. The event is packed with information and entertainment. Carers and professionals will have the opportunity to listen to informative talks covering topics such as Respite for carers and the Carers Act. There will be time set aside for Q&A sessions, to browse stalls, meet other carers and professionals and attend interactive workshops:

• Technology Enabled Care delivered by Perth & Kinross Council
• Digital Skills by LEAD and PKC Digital Participation
• Benefits Beetle Drive by Perth Citizens Advice Bureau
• Mindfulness by Mindspace
• Body Boosting Bingo by Age Scotland

The event will be closed with an upbeat musical performance from CATH Cigar Box Guitar Band. All professionals and carers are welcome! Over 30 organisations have confirmed their information stalls and it’s to be a great networking opportunity for both carers and organisations helping them to feel supported in their role.

Attendance is FREE of charge and booking is essential.
