The Great Perthshire Picnic

 

Launched in September 2016 by Giraffe Trading, The Great Perthshire Picnic - or The Picnic as it is fondly known by locals - is a month-long celebration of Perthshire’s globally acclaimed larder.

 

#GPPICNIC champions the very best local produce and home-grown culinary talent from across the region, this tasty event brings together chefs, bakers, producers, distillers and food lovers for what is undoubtedly the area’s largest and most diverse food and drink festival

 

This year’s launch event takes place alongside September’s Farmers’ Market in Perth on Saturday 1st September and will feature a host of street food, live music and demonstrations. From then on in, you will find over 50 fantastic foodie events throughout Perthshire featuring everything from wine tasting to butchery workshops, afternoon tea to seasonal tasting menus.

 

Our advice? Get your elastic waisted trousers on - it’s set to be a delicious month!
