Oliver! The Musical by Ad Lib

Consider yourself invited as hit musical Oliver! comes to Perth Local talent will take centre stage at Perth Theatre this coming month when fair city based ‘Ad-Lib Theatre Arts’ perform Lionel Bart’s iconic musical ‘Oliver!’ from Wednesday 8th to Sunday 12th May.

Based on Charles Dickens' novel, ‘Oliver Twist’ the Tony and Olivier Award-winning show is one of few musicals to win an Academy Award for Best Picture. It tells the story of the innocent young orphan boy who dared to “want some more” and through fate fell in with the wrong crowd on the rough streets of London.

Featuring much loved songs such as “Consider Yourself”, “Oom-pah-pah” and the iconic “Food Glorious Food” this energetic, dark, funny and tragic tale is sure to delight audiences young and old.

Speaking from the Director’s chair, Ad-Lib founder Victoria Rice is delighted to be making the step to perform in Perth Theatre; “It’s been such a wonderful experience and I am so proud of all the cast for the hard work they have been putting in to make this a great show. We have previously performed shows with the adults and youths separately; but ‘Oliver!’ will bring together all the pupils for the first time and will represent a huge moment for us.

Tickets are already limited for some nights, which proves what a popular show this is. We are indebted to the many sponsors, volunteers, crew and the staff at Perth Theatre who have supported us in making this possible and I cannot wait for the Perth audiences to see it.”
