A tale of betrayal, regicide, madness, storms and battles set in Scotland’s rugged and unforgiving landscape, Shakespeare’s tragedy is brought vividly to life.
Beautifully drawn puppets, evocative music, atmospheric foley sound and dynamic cinematic projection combine to create a captivating silent film before your eyes.
The Paper Cinema creates magical productions which combine and unify the languages of animation, live music, film and theatre in a unique way. Intricate pen and ink illustrations are skilfully manipulated and layered in real-time in front of a live video camera and projected onto the big screen.
