Highland Hustle

Highland Hustle has unique classes inspired by Scotland and aims to make dance and fitness attainable no matter age, shape, ability or experience. 

Highland Hustle is now global after the first class was created in Scone in 2014 and word spread quickly! Founder, Gillian Urquhart, a former Champion Highland dancer still leads classes in Perthshire but there are also many Highland Hustle franchise classes all the way from Perthshire to Melbourne, Australia.

Highland Hustle is the original adult class.  There are options for complete beginners to expert former dancers as well as a variety of fitness levels too.  Gillian is proud to have a couple in their 70’s who attend alongside an 18 year old in the same class.  Classes are welcoming and friendly and a great workout too.  Think all the fun of a ceilidh (without physical contact), unique progressive dance movements, toning to finish  and all to brilliant music.  You will leave very sweaty but smiling. 

Highland Hustle Tots  is aimed at pre-school children opting in at their own ability level alongside an adult.  (children should be confident walkers to approx age 4).  It even has the thumbs up from a UK leading child development specialist. 

Gillian used years of PE teaching experience to help create a class that is great fun.  But, Highland Hustle Tots is also aiming to make a huge difference to children’s overall development by integrating cutting edge research and planned movements into the class to help give tots the best start in life. 

Whilst little ones get the opportunity to burn off energy there are options for gentle exercise for the adults whether Mum, Childminder or Grandad! Everyone takes part together, has some fun and strengthens the child / adult bond too.

Classes are £4.25 per week in a block booking. There is also a limited number of flexible booking passes per term.

Highland Hustle age 16 +:
Monday 8.15 - 9.00pm Inspire Dance Studio, Highland House, St Catherine's Rd, Perth PH1 5YA £4 per week
Friday 9.30 - 10.10am Inspire Dance Studio, Highland House, St Catherine's Rd, Perth PH1 5YA £3.50 per week

Highland dance classes for children age 4+:
Thursday 4.00 - 4.45 age 4 - 6 approx ; 4.45 - 5.45 age 6+ Scone New Church Hall, Balformo Road, Scone, PH2 6QX
