What a glorious scene!

Blooming into life.

Blooming into life.

Flowers did not always exist; they first appeared 140 million years ago. Can you imagine life without flowers?!

Stepping into Spring

27 February 2019

The mornings are getting lighter, the air is a bit warmer, and the encapsulating cold of Winter days are starting to melt away.

Spring is upon us in our Small City, and it feels like we're waking up to days stretched out with limitless possibilities.

There is something quite poignant about the simple, stark beauty of flowers blooming into life around us after a period of dormancy.

It's an explosion of colour to behold, as the floral scents carried in a gentle breeze engage our senses.

Even on overcast Scottish days - driech days - the grey clouds make the perfect canvas to contrast with the vibrancy springing up from soil.

And in any case, you need a little rain to help you grow.

So take the chance to go for a walk outside today and feel the fresh air on your skin. Close your eyes and breathe it all in.

Spring is finally here.
