Tiny TAYste

Cooking classes for toddlers in Tayside, held at Glendoick Garden Centre. Using locally sourced produce from the land all around us, we have fun and learn while supporting our local farmers!

Tiny TAYste (2-5yrs)

Each week we learn about new ingredients, prepare, cook and eat a meal from the produce and then play games and enjoy activities relating to the food.

Tiny TAYstes provides cooking classes for under 5s, using seasonal produce grown in Tayside.

Each week we learn about a new food, where it comes from, how it grows and of course what it tastes like!

In the past, the tots have made delicious recipes from local carrots, eggs, oats, beetroot, sweet potato, milk, berries, cucumber, bread, apples, fish and much more.

All our ingredients are locally sourced and the recipes are toddler friendly and your child will be able to manage to make most of the snack themselves.

Once the hard work is done, the children sit together to taste their creations and take some home for the family to enjoy.

Classes cost £6 per child and you can book for a block of 4.

Team TAYstes (5-11yrs)

Once a month we meet to prepare, cook and eat a meal together and then afterwards, use the ingredients to conduct fun experiments, play food related games or build constructions out of the produce.

Parents can also book a Tiny TAYstes party:

Children (parties for preschool and primary school age catered for) bake a birthday cake together and eat it at the party.  The party-goers also decorate cupcakes or cookies to either eat or take home.  While the cake is baking, we play food related games and the children get to take part in food related experiments, food art and explosions. Games and activities are easily adapted according to the interests of the child (craft, design, science etc)
