The old saying goes that home is where the heart is. Nobody understands this as well as Anne Begg - through her job at Clyde Property, she helps people to find their dream homes, the setting for many happy memories to come over the years. She knows the importance of a well-matched home to overall wellbeing too - "When I need to relax, there's nothing like curling up at home with a book, my dogs, and cats."

So what does a typical day 'playing Cupid' of homes look like at Clyde? After ensuring the properties being shown are looking their best Anne ensures she's greeting and informing the viewers. Growing up in Perth herself, she's got a vast knowledge of the areas and can always give expert reccommendations for nearby amenities. "Kisa do some of my favourite dishes in Perth - and you can find me down at the Bothy for a drink!" she tells us.

We loved hearing about Anne's workdays and weekends, and we hope you do too.

Tell us the weirdest / funniest thing that has ever happened to you at work?
When I met Princess Diana in Shetland when I worked for the Civil Aviation Authority, and we were chatting away - when her security decided we were talking to long and moved her along!

What signals the start of your days off?
Saturday would be a relaxing breakfast, dog training classes, walk with my dogs (two shihtzhus), perhaps coffee with a friend or lunch, followed by relaxing at home with either a book or film and always a prosecco! Indian takeaway.

Lastly - I lived in Shetland for 14 years.

I would like to visit Shetland again.

What is the worst job you’ve ever had?
I worked at a deli counter in Penny Lane Crieff where I lasted two hours, and went home crying. It was so awful.
