OH YES SHE IS!
Rehanna MacDonald plays the principal boy in Sinbad, this year's panto at Perth Theatre. Hailing from East Kilbride, the actor - who arrived fresh from the boards of the National Theatre down in London having been working in a play called Peter Gynt - has been enjoying all that Perth has to offer in between performances.
"I do enjoy Gringos for food and The Ship Inn for a drink - I've also been getting away from it all in the IMAX. Of course, you can usually find us actors hanging out in the cafe at the theatre between warm ups and the show.
It’s essentially dressing up in costume and getting to play on stage in front of an audience."We have an onstage warm up with mics on before the show and then it’s essentially dressing up in costume and getting to play on stage in front of an audience. Pretty fun!"

Being on stage knowing Ian McKellen was in the audience. Felt pretty weird performing for Gandalf!

What is at the top of your bucket list?
I want to swim with dolphins in the wild or kayak with Orcas in Norway!
What is the worst job you’ve ever had?
I once worked in a call centre where I had to sell wine over the phone which was pretty tedious.
Watching all the wee kids hugging each other and dancing at the end is brilliant funWho or what inspires you?
There are lots of incredible young women/girls right now who are paving the way for the next generation. I recently read Malala’s book and she is mega inspiring. Also Greta Thunberg! We have our very own character called Greta in the Perth panto inspired by her.
Tell us about the day you’d love to live again?
I saw the Rolling Stones live in Twickenham stadium last year and it was one of the best days fo my life. I’d do that over and over again!

At the minute, I’m loving how much excitement the panto generates in the audience. Watching all the wee kids hugging each other and dancing at the end is brilliant fun.
