The fantastic Southbank Centre Women of the World Festival is returning to Perth this September and after the massive success of last year’s event we can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2018! And, the great news is that you can help to shape this year’s festival by attending one of the WOW Thinkins which are being held at different venues across Perthshire next month.

The free Thinkins are your opportunity to let the WOW Festival organisers know what you want to see included in this year’s line-up. Perhaps you know of someone inspirational you’d love to hear from over the weekend? Maybe there’s a particular issue you feel strongly about that you’d like to see represented at the festival? Whatever it is, the Thinkins sessions are there to give you the chance to help shape this wonderful weekend that celebrates the achievements of women and girls from Perthshire and beyond.

WOW Thinkins will be held at Perth Theatre in the city centre, the Birks Cinema in Aberfeldy and Loch Leven Community Campus in Kinross on Tuesday 20th, Wednesday 21st and Saturday 24th March, and they’re interactive and engaging sessions which last two hours. Festival organiser, Lou Brodie, is looking forward to meeting the local community again and hearing people’s ideas as she begins to put together this year’s line-up. The WOW Thinkins are a great chance for women and men to come together and to share ideas on what they think should be included in the festival.

“After the amazing success of last year’s festival here in Perth we’re really excited to get going with the 2018 event,” she said.

“The WOW Thinkins are a great chance for women – and men – to come together and to share ideas on what they think is important to them, what they think should be included over the weekend, and basically just play a part in the grassroots level of this great festival.

"It's been an amazing and startling year for gender equality and the WOW Perth 2018 festival gives us an opportunity to celebrate women and girls everywhere. We would love everyone, from all generations, to join the dialogue, come along to a thinkin and make our 2018 weekend another special event!”
