Do you wish you had a better relationship with your dog? Dream of long walks off-lead in the beautiful Perthshire countryside? When reality fails to match up with our expectations, owning a dog can be a difficult experience, meaning that we miss out on the benefits our four-legged friends can bring us. At The Dog Lady, Laura Scullion Hall is an experienced dog behaviour consultant who works with dogs and their humans to improve their relationships, get training on the right track and help them to enjoy life to the fullest. Laura has a background in animal welfare and training, and uses this expertise to address problems which range from recall and lead walking issues, to fear, anxiety and aggression.

Training and Behaviour:

The Dog Lady offers a range of services, from advice before you select your new puppy, to helping rescue dogs to settle into their new family or common training issues like recall, lead walking and appropriate manners. Behaviour consultations are designed for dogs with emotional problems such as fear, aggression or aggression which are not suitable for training. Dogs which have issues with humans, other dogs, other animals or being left alone are just some of the dogs which can benefit from a behaviour consultation. When reality fails to match up with our expectations, owning a dog can be a difficult experience

Identifying solutions to training and behaviour issues can be bewildering, and dog owners are bombarded with more information than ever. Laura will work with your dog (and your humans!) to identify issues, develop solutions and put plans in place. Dog owners do not need to be expert trainers, but you will feel confident in working with your dog and in your ability to solve problems.

Gift Vouchers:

Gift vouchers are available to the value of a package or individual sessions for that special four-legged someone in your life.

The Team:

If you book training with The Dog Lady, chances are you will meet the rest of the team as well. Head Sidekick Fly loves people, and accompanies Laura to work most days, demonstrating training and she would argue that she is the brains of the operation.

Islay joined the family in 2016 after being rehomed and is working very hard to learn lots of new behaviours and be a successful working pointer. She loves meeting new people and dogs, and you can also follow her training progress in videos which are posted on YouTube and Facebook.

USP: Laura has over 20 years of experience in animal training and behaviour. She works with private clients, industry companies, professional bodies and education establishments to deliver and implement training. Laura has also spent almost 10 years engaged in research involving dog welfare, behaviour and human-animal interaction, and has a PhD in psychology and dog welfare, as well as her wide range of professional experience.
