Kristy Ashton - People in Landscapes

20 March 2019

A picture speaks a thousand words and every picture in this gallery is like the front cover of a book, opening the magical door to a story that is just waiting to be told.

With misty glens, rugged mountains, stunning lochs and magical forests, Scotland boasts some of the most beautiful natural landscapes and local photographer Kristy Ashton uses this as the canvas for her photography.

Kristy works alongside her partner Richard and together they capture the beauty and magic with mystical portraits of people within the beauty of Mother Nature.

Some people want romantic wedding images, some want to propose or celebrate an anniversary and some just want to pretend they are on the set of Outlander! No matter what the request, Kristy and Richard work to capture the vision of their client.

About the Photographer

"Scotland is the most beautiful canvas. I am so fortunate that my job is to take photographs of this landscape.

"To be outside and work alongside the changing of the seasons that this country has to offer is a dream.

"I work alongside my partner Richard and a lot of the time this takes us away from our home in Perthshire and into the Highlands but its always a delight when we get to capture images locally.

"Perthshire is a magical place." - Kristy Ashton
