It might be a venue fit for a king and queen, but you don’t have to be royalty to get married at Scone Palace!

And although a spring wedding is always a favourite with couples, the grounds at Scone are a stunning backdrop during any season throughout the year.

Just two miles north of the Fair City of Perth, Scone Palace provides an unique setting which, coupled with excellent food and service, guarantees you and your guests a special and unforgettable wedding reception.

From your initial enquiry, expert staff will ensure your special day lives up to your dreams. Left in their capable hands, they can either create your entire experience or simply advise on a variety of options

Either way, your wedding will flow perfectly with minimal fuss, leaving you and your friends and family free to bask in the stunning scenery.

From your arrival accompanied by a single piper to the romantic breakfast in the candlelit Long Gallery every step will be a memorable one.

The possibilities are numerous, why not consider:

  • A ceremony in the Drawing Room or the vaulted Long Gallery, where kings of Scotland once walked.

  • Enjoy champagne and canapés served in the State Rooms which you would have exclusive use of for your special day.

  • A spectacular wedding breakfast, prepared by our award-winning caterers, for up to 110 guests in the Long Gallery

  • Perhaps you may prefer something a little more bohemian, then why not consider a tipi with festoon lighting set within the glorious gardens.

  • Make the evening go with a bang when you have a fabulous fireworks display which is guaranteed to impress your guests.

Scone Palace is also licensed for civil marriage ceremonies and has played host to a number of these before.

The happy couple and their guests also have the option of booking five-star luxury accommodation in the Balvaird Wing. This self-catering accommodation is ideal for the wedding night or for a “girls only” zone for the bride and her bridesmaids the evening before.

Located in the north-west wing of the Palace, this beautifully appointed apartment, with magnificent views over the Parks to the River Tay, is one of Scotland’s best-kept secrets.

Perfect for wedding parties, it sleeps up to six guests in three beautifully decorated, en-suite bedrooms. The MacGregor Room has a super-king bed with en-suite bathroom, Colonel Andrew’s Room is a twin bedroom with king-size beds and en-suite bathroom with separate shower, and Lady Carnegie’s Room is a twin bedroom with king-size beds with en-suite bathroom with shower.

As well as a lovely sitting room, there is a fully equipped and spacious dining kitchen, and the Palace can even arrange a private cook for you.
