Hannah Mackay is the Lettings Negotiator for our good friends over at Clyde Property in Perth. She's part of the amazing team at the George Street estate agency, and loves helping her clients find the perfect home.
When she's not hard at work, Hannah enjoys going out for a tasty bite to eat at Deans Restaurant or Kisa's, or she likes to spend some time sampling the many gins available at The Venue. She also loves to take her beloved pug, Archie, out to see her family in Blairgowrie and in the winter time, she spends her down time at home with her fiancé watching their favourite movies.
We caught up with Hannah to find out a bit more about her and the job she does with Clyde Property!
What does a typical day at work look like for you?
No day is ever the same! I'm usually out and about on viewings, and speaking to lots of different people. Then I could be arranging lease signings or speaking to landlords. It's nice and varied.
What signals the start of your weekend / days off?
Heading home for a nice dinner or take away, a bottle of wine or prosecco and chilling on a Friday night. That's especially true at this time of the year with the cold winter nights.
On a Saturday, my fiancé and I are usually out meeting with friends or going out for dinner and cocktails!
What might people be surprised to know about you?
I spent four weeks over in Malawi in Africa. I was helping to build and decorate a primary school there.
We also got to go on an open safari – which was amazing! We used to have our dinner watching the elephants walk up the river – it was so surreal.
Top of your bucket list?
Something that's been at the top of my list since I was a little girl... to swim with dolphins! I'm hoping I might be able to tick that off my list when I am on my honeymoon.
Worst job you’ve ever had?
I'm quite lucky because I've never really had a job that I would say I didn't like! If I had to choose it would probbaly be retail - I worked in a shop and I absolutely hated having to get up so early on Boxing Day to work the sales!
Who or what inspires you?
My Mum - she is just an amazing person. She has and always will inspire me.
Tell us about the weekend you’d love to live again?
The weekend I got engaged! We went to Fort William for the weekend to stay at my friend's house and they stayed in the middle of nowhere which looked out onto Ben Nevis. It was my birthday, so all of my close friends where there to celebrate.
It was May, the sun was shining and we were sitting outside drinking champagne when my fiancé Greg got down on one knee and asked me to marry him – it was amazing a weekend I will never forget.
What’s the best part about your job?
I love viewing the many different types of houses and showing people around and getting to know them and find out more about there own lives. I love knowing that I've helped someone find a house that they are happy with, and it's a great feeling getting them moved in and seeing people both happy and excited with their new home!
Every day is different without a doubt. This has been my first year working with Clyde and I have no idea where 2017 has gone – it's always super busy but we have a great team that keep each other motivated and support each other. It's great!
What’s in the perfect day off breakfast?
Eggs Benedict is my absolute favourite - the ultimate breakfast!
Creativity runs through everything Nadine Sabbagh does, both inside and outwith the classroom.
