What is your job, when did you start, how did you come to be here?
I'm a Food and Drink Photographer and Stylist. I started my business around 8 years ago and it evolved from combining my passion for food and drink with into my newly formed photography business. I provide the recipes and images for the Small City Recipe every week.
Best thing that’s ever happened to you at work.
It would have to be the opening of my new studio, Violet Studios this June.
What is the best part of your job?
Getting to meet new people all the time. Each job is varied and different and I love meeting people and working with new food and drink products.
What signals the start of your days off?
A relaxing soya milk latte followed by a yoga session is my ideal start to a morning to myself. Usually, if I've time I'll drive to Edinburgh to Leo's Beanery then upstairs to Tribe Yoga. My perfect morning.
I love reading Tarot Cards for fun!
What might people be surprised to know about you?
I love reading Tarot Cards for fun, and keep a deck in my studio which I bring out from time to time for some fun readings with friends.
What's at the top of your bucket list?
A visit to Copenhagen - I love the Danish style and think I could spend hours wandering the city, finding amazing props in all their beautiful shops.
Who or what inspires you?
The changing seasons inspire me with my work when using colours and textures. Positive and passionate people are also contagious for me.
What day would you love to live again?
I have so many great memories, I could say I want to recount them all again....to see people who I've lost over the years again. I suppose I could just choose one great day from my childhood when my parents were young, my grandparents were with me and go back and savour that moment again, and know that I had all those great years in front of me. If I could tell myself then what I know now would great too, but then doesn't everyone say that :)
The idea was born out of a desire to show-off. Show-off this great wee city that is punching well above its weight.
