Dunkeld House Hotel is just a little bit in love with afternoon tea – so much so that they have been practising this quintessentially British tradition for as long as they can remember. Their ancestors took tea seriously – and so do they! They loved scones, cakes and sandwiches, of course, but began this most delicious of afternoon rituals with savour treats, such as Welsh rarebit, muffins with poached eggs or a tart or two were enjoyed to great satisfaction. In acknowledgement of their ancestors they include a savoury cheese scone with cream cheese and smoked salmon.

Savouries – usually finger sandwiches – are generally taken first.
