"Amber and Charlie boy! We love having Charlie here with us - he's 2 this year, and I thought I'd get him to keep Amber and myself company. He fits nicely into our home, no more kids so I thought I'll get a dog instead - not sure which was more work! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚ Amber says she loves Charlie because she has no brothers or sisters, so he protects her, goes everywhere with her and is her best friend. Definitely wouldn't have it any other way." - Nikki Hume
"Me and my 'wee' best pal, Bodhi. He’s my first dog and I don’t know what I’d do without him." - Nicola Garrow
"Piglet is my Shadow and I don’t know where I’d be without her. After she suffered a spinal injury a few months ago, now every second with her is even more precious." - Megan Steward
Katie from Dog Friendly Perthshire on her wedding day, with the lovable Baxter!
"Me and my bestie, Saka. I rescued him 3 years ago and we've been inseparable ever since." - Judith Barnett
"My little 2 year sausage, Link. He is mad and thinks he is the size of a horse, but he will never fail to make anyone smile and he loves a cuddle. Here he is casually sitting on my shoulders! He is without a doubt my best pal and fur baby." - Hayley Smith
"This is Monty Springer and Findlay Dawg - soon to be 13 and 16 respectively. They have been my constants and company through so many years - I can’t imagine life without them! I have been so blessed with the pair of them." - Fiona McRonald
"This is Roxy and I on my wedding day! Roxy is the most loving and kind hearted dog, and she never fails to put a smile on our faces. To me she more than just a dog: she is our family." - Fiona Brailsford
"This is Yogi and Booboo, and they are my heart! They say that briards are a heart wrapped up in a fur coat, and I would say that is spot on. l love them to the moon and back, and could not be without them! Yogi is a bit of a grumpy old man these days (just a bit like him indoors!), and Booboo is needy and crazy - a bit like me! Haha. I wouldn't have them any other way." - Eunice Watson
"One of my 3 handsome boys, Mika. He’s a proper mummie's boy!. We rescued him when he was 2 years old. He was very jumpy due to the bad start in life he had. If he was scared he used to jump on my knee! But these days he’s the most laid-back husky ever." - Cheryl Reid
"This is Bosco, our pug. He is 1. After losing my dad suddenly, he has been a great comfort - especially on low days." - Carrie-Ann Marshall
"I introduce the one and only, Daisy! She's my brown eyed girl and she keeps me going. We've been through good times and bad times when one or another have been in hospital, and I still say hi to her before the fiancé when I come home!" - Andrew Rollason
"Meet Foxy, a 14 year old ex-stray we found on the streets in Spain and brought home. We have had her 12 years and she is very loving. Foxy has the nicest temperament, perfect health and can still run up Moncrieff Hill!" - Amanda Cherry
"This is my dog Troop - my wee rescue soul mate who has been by my side for the past 12 and a half years. We’ve been through some tough times together, and even survived a house fire! He’s very much young at heart and the best at duping even the vet nurses to think he is a young puppy. A complete mix of a dog, with a heart of gold and a very hollow stomach!" - Alyson Bell
"This is Gem. She’s happiest when she’s centre of attention but we don’t mind because look at that face! She has a big personality for a little spaniel and makes us laugh everyday." - Ainsley Noble

And they call it....puppy love!

13 February 2019

There's nothing like the love you have for a pet - and for a lot of us, our canine companions are more than just pets. They're our best friends, our confidantes, they're members of our family.

Coming home and being greeted by the excited barks, the cuddles and big puppy dog eyes...it's a feeling like no other, that fills you with a warmth and joy.

Continuing on our Gallery of Love series, we teamed up with Dog Friendly Perthshire to get you to send in your selfies with your furry friends - and we were overwhelmed with how cute they all are!!!

It was really (really) hard to narrow it down, but we've put up a selection of some of our favourite snaps. So kick back and enjoy this utterly "pawfect" selection of snaps πŸΆπŸ’•

Thank you to everyone who sent us in photos this week! And thank you to Dog Friendly Perthshire for helping us get the word out!
