The Stranglers - Black and White Tour

By 5th March 2016

Lady Miss Emma takes to Perth Concert Hall once again to throw herself into a night with The Stranglers.

Perth Concert Hall filled with a Punk / New Wave extravaganza on Thursday as “The Stranglers” took to the stage. The infamous English Punk band recently celebrated their Ruby Anniversary and Perth had the honour of the opening night of their Black and White Tour.

They performed to a SOLD OUT Concert Hall of hard core fans clad in their best tartan, skinhead and Mohican flair. The set had an absolutely stunning black and white theme. Even the mic stands, the amps and the drum kit were white which was a real spectacle.

The band played the whole of the ‘Black and White’ album in its entirety which was previously realised in 1978. The hardcore fans were absolutely over the moon with this and the band really threw themselves into every song.

Lead singer Baz has that “don’t mess with me” punk attitude and was sneering and pouting throughout the performance really embracing the feel of the music and their hit “Nice and Sleazy” really did feel super sleazy, ugly and crude which is what Punk is all about.

They played a handful of their hits including “Always the Sun” Peaches and “No More Heroes” to which the crowd went wild as they were waiting to hear their favourite tunes.

The band was on stage, straight through no breaks for two hours which is a phenomenal accomplishment even for a band of young musicians and these guys are no spring chickens.

1 STRANGLERSIf you are a hardcore Strangers fan this is the tour for you. Get along to one of their shows in your best tartan and Punk it out!

Don't take my word for it - here are the fans comments!
