Solas Festival is Scotland’s Midsummer Music and Arts Festival staged at The Bield, Tibbermore nr Perth from the 17-19th June 2016.
Lose yourself in the tranquillity of The Bield and experience a colourful programme of live music, cinema, visual art, performance, spoken word and family-friendly activities. The theme for 2016, ‘Beyond Borders’, invites us to think about different kinds of borders - musical, cultural or political - and subjects ranging from refugees to rappers and referendums.
The 2016 line up will see the return of Solas favourites Stanley Odd and Blue Rose Code alongside the riotous energy of Skerryvore on the main stage. The field will host leading artists from the roots, folk and world scene including the multi award winning Karine Polwart and mercury prize nominee Sam Lee and Friends.
As ever, Solas will be the host for some exciting one-off events – from unique musical collaborations to a special live BBC broadcast from the festival.
