Perthshire's Winter Wildlife

10 December 2019

We're extremely lucky here in Perthshire to have an abundance of wildlife right on our doorstep.

If you are out walking in the countryside you will enjoy a chorus of cheerful tweets from the trees and once in a while the magical moment of sharing a gaze with a deer.

These moments are why we love Perthshire and could never live in the concrete jungle of a larger city.

Alongside our luscious greenery, rivers and streams there are lots of creatures that have made Perthshire their home.

The talented photographers from the Facebook Page 'Pictures of Perth and Beyond' capture our local wildlife and their surroundings perfectly.

The page was founded by avid photographer Marysia Macfalane who wanted to create a space for budding photographers to share their passion for Photography and their local landscape.

Some are keen amateurs, some are professionals and all share a love of the great outdoors and the beauty that can be found right here on our doorstep.

The page is a constant inspiration when sourcing new gallery images and the Small City office love spending time scrolling through the feed of gorgeous pictures.

We have been fortunate this week to have these incredible images provided by the Facebook group: Pictures of Perthshire and Beyond.

The photographers who have ever so kindly contributed to this gallery are; Alan Edwards, Connor McLaren, Gordon Muir, Jen Bruce, JM Photography and Marysisa MacFarlane.
