Perthshire Wildlife are a small local company that run guided wildlife walks and tours for locals and visitors to the area.

The business is owned and run by former Big Personality Daniele Muir, a passionate conservationist living and working in Perthshire.  The tours help people enjoy iconic Scottish wildlife and the beautiful Perthshire countryside.

Ranging from dusk wildlife watches from hides to see lochside wildlife, to strolls through bluebell woods, and gentle hikes down unspoilt glens enjoying rare birds of prey, Daniele will open your eyes to the wonderful experiences right here on your doorstep. Daniele also offers tailor-made tours and guided walks. Outdoor Adventures Perthshire Wildlife binoulars

Spring has finally arrived with our first migrants – chiffchaffs, wheatears and of course, the famous ospreys are back in residence at Loch of the Lowes. They have just laid their first egg so hopefully there will be at least one chick on the nest for us to watch this summer!

Perthshire Wildlife are running lots of new activities for you to enjoy this year. They continue to run guided wildlife walks with the next being a Dawn Chorus Walk in the beautiful bluebell woods near Murthly on International Dawn Chorus Day – May the 1st. It’s an early start, meeting at 4.45am, but it will be worth it to hear the dawn chorus starting up, and you'll finish with a breakfast of coffee & croissants!

Outdoor Adventures Perthshire Wildlife beaverOther walks running this year include Private Beaver Tours (photo thanks to Dave Walsh), Bloomin’ Beautiful Bluebells, Dipping for Dragons & Foraging for Wild Food. All the walks are run at top wildlife locations in Perthshire, with further details being found on their website

New for this year are half and whole-day Wildlife Safaris where you are taken around Perthshire to where the wildlife is! Species spotted so far on these safaris include red and roe deer, red squirrels, short-eared owls, black and red grouse, ospreys and beavers. And the scenery is always spectacular!

Perthshire Wildlife are also now working in partnership with Outdoor Explore to run Beaver Safaris by canoe which is great fun with nice, easy canoeing. You see lots of evidence of the local beaver family; an amazing lodge, beaver canals, feeding stations and chewed branches!

Get in touch if you are interested in any of the Perthshire Wildlife adventures! They also run tours and walks for private groups – just tell them where you want to go and what wildlife you’d like to see and they'll organise it all for you!
