Searching the land for Panto Stars!

By 29th August 2016

The team behind Perth’s fantatsic panto is searching for talented local youngsters to take to the stage for this year's performance of Dick McWhittington.

The creators of the show which runs in Perth Concert Hall from the 10th - 26th December are inviting applications from boys and girls aged 9 to 13 who love to sing, dance, act and perform!

You can download an application pack from the Horsecross Arts website Or pick one up from Horsecross Arts Box Office in Perth Concert Hall.

The deadline for applications is 6pm on Saturday 17th September.

Successful applicants will be called for audition in Perth Concert Hall’s Norie-Miller Studio on Saturday 1st October.

Written by Alan McHugh, directed by Ian Grieve, starring regular Perth panto dame Barrie Hunter and a cast of returning favourites, Dick McWhittington in Perth Concert Hall has all the ingredients for a feast of family fun this Christmas!

Dick McWhittington is on his way to London to seek fame and fortune and doesn't know that it is his destiny to save the city and become Provost. It's up to Perth's very own fairy godmother, the Fairy Maid of Perth, to bring him back. But Dick won't be alone. He'll stand side by side against Queen Rat with his very own ratcatcher - Kitty Cat - for a final showdown in the desert Kingdom of the great Sultan Vinegar.

Meanwhile, Stanley Mills' sweetie shop has been cleaned out by the rats, but he has a bigger problem in trying to avoid the affections of his shopkeeper, Senga McScruff. And how will our loveable numptie, Wee Sandy McScruff, cope when the love of his life, Melody Mills, falls for Dick?

Join Dick and his friends in Perth Concert Hall for another spectacular, fun filled, family panto from the team that brought you Beauty and the Beast.
