What does a typical day at work look like?
What I like about this job is that there isn’t a ‘typical’ day at work. Every day is different and one day you could catch me at my desk updating the website, putting the newsletter together and creating content for Social Media. The next you might see me whizzing around the town chatting the ears off our local business owners. Most days however, you will catch me in the kitchen scratching my head trying to figure out how on earth to work the ‘coffee thing’.
What's the best part about your job?
I’m not sure that I can pick just one thing:
I can cycle straight from my house to the office without having to navigate any roads which is - I won’t lie - one of the reasons I applied for the job.
No two days are the same so it never gets a chance to become repetitive. One day you could be behind the desk updating the website and Social Media, the next you’re dressed to the nines and off to the races.
I love the environment that Nicola has created here and how everybody brings something different to the table. Ideas fly around the room bouncing off each other. I love that you can think it one minute and be doing it the next. That’s the kind of stuff that gets you out of bed in the morning. I love that you can think it one minute and be doing it the next. How do you spend your weekends/days off?
Days out with my son, swimming, walking the dog, bagging Munros, in the gym, at the theatre, playing badminton, dinner with the girls, talking myself into restarting my driving lessons and then never doing it, ice skating, cycling, watching UFC, going to Ice Hockey games (Dundee Stars) and with my nose stuck in a book. Not particularly in that order.
Oh, and trying to get a Business Management Degree.
