Glenshieling House is a gorgeous Victorian Villa built in 1893, peacefully located within its own private gardens and woodland of three acres and set amongst the rolling Perthshire hills yet only a fifteen minute stroll to Blairgowrie town centre and all its amenities.

The magnificent Victorian Villa provides a delightful ambience and a break away from city life.  perfectly situated for sightseeing, golfing, cycling, shooting, fishing, walking, adventurous sports activities and shopping. Glenshieling House offers its guests a peaceful haven in a beautiful location, well away from the noise and bustle of everyday life.

Glenshieling House has been completely renovated and it now boasts four beautifully refurbished en-suite bedrooms that offer all the modern comforts whilst retaining the charm of a character property.

Glenshieling House has four en-suite bedrooms all of which are situated on the first floor of the property. Tastefully decorated to a luxurious standard, each bedroom has a Tassimo coffee machine, complementary sweets, complementary toiletries and soft fluffy bath robes so you can sit back relax and unwind after your afternoon of adventure.

The dining experience at Glenshieling House is informal and relaxed with breakfast served from 8.00am until 9.00am. Dine on delicious locally sourced ingredients including meats supplied by a local award-winning butcher, homemade jams and marmalade and our own free-range eggs from our own hens, affectionately known as the “Glenshieling Girls”.

The delicious smoked salmon is sourced from a multi award-winning smokehouse in Dunkeld and last, but not least, all of Perth’s berries are sourced from local farms (when in season). Glenshieling pride themselves on using the best quality Perthshire ingredients whilst supporting local businesses.

Glenshieling House is ideally located to explore the area of Perthshire and beyond with the house sitting just off the A93 that leads North to Braemar, Royal Deeside and the ski slopes of Glenshee (located only half an hour away) for those keen skiers and snowboarders or the ‘Cateran Trail’ – a 64 mile circular route through beautiful Perthshire (starting and finishing in Blairgowrie) and the Angus glens, in the footsteps of the fearsome cattle thieves of the Highlands.

Enjoy a summer evening stroll around the splendid woodland and pay close attention to the woodland wildlife. A must see attraction is the "Glenshieling Girls" Twelve gorgeous chickens that roam freely among the estate. The chickens have even been featured on NBC News!

Spend the evening unwinding in the fully licensed bar listening to the sounds of the grand piano.

Looking to book somewhere exclusive for a special event, anniversary or break from it all? Glensheiling House have recently refurbished their Glensheiling Lodge ready and are open for exclusive use bookings in 2020.

Situated within the grounds of Glenshieling House, it is a fully equipped self-catering Lodge. The Lodge has gas central heating making it suitable for use throughout the year. The sitting-room log burner just adds to that feeling of complete escapism.

Plan your daily activities from the cosy Lodge sitting-room. Here you will find a Smart T.V. and some reading materials and games, plus activity suggestions to ensure you get the most out of your stay in this beautiful part of Perthshire. The open plan kitchen/diner is fully equipped with integrated washer/dryer machine, double oven with gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer. A welcome pack of groceries will be provided to start your self-catering off.

The spacious king-size bedroom offers views over the Lodge garden and the Strathmore Valley beyond. The second bedroom can be made up either as a super kingsize or two singles to suit your needs and looks out on to the woodland which houses a number of non-paying guests; e.g. our resident red squirrels! Your heating, lighting and linen are all included in the price.

There is a South-facing garden to the rear with a raised decking area with table and chairs; suitable for alfresco dining on those lovely warm summer days. There is good parking immediately adjacent to the front of the Lodge.
