George Street Is Open!

By 6th August 2016

We know only too well that naviagting the current roadworks can prove a bit tricky so we've come up with these handy instructions so that you don't miss out on your favourite George Street Indies.

With work going on at the bottom of High Street and at Horsecross Plaza you'd be forgiven for thinking that George Street and the bottom of the High Street was out of commission.  However, we're here to remind you that everyone of our favourite #PerthIndies and the wonderful Perth Musuem and Art Gallery, are open, ready and waiting for you!

Here's what you have to do:

  1. Drive down South Street, through the traffic lights at Princes Street.
  2. Get into the left hand lane as you come through these lights.
  3. Just past Greyfriars turn LEFT into Watergate
  4. Please note, this is the wee street that's normally no left turn - we promise you they've reversed the one way system and it is in fact possible to access this from here!
  5. Drive up watergate, past the PA office, past Boo Vake (but do remember to pop back and see Arlene as she has gorgeous things!) and you'll come out at the High Street end of George Street.
  6. Park on George Street as normal, or drive up here to come out at Charlotte Street and the Queen's Bridge.

Got it? Good.

As a small reminder, here's a link to our George Street Street Life Column from a couple of years back. We've updated to include some of the new retailers such as the wonderful Teddy Station.

Provender Brown SignFrom here you can also easily visit Bridge Lane to see Pretty Things and Paco's Deli, Charlotte Street to see Precious Sparkle, Watergate for Boo Vake and the bottom of the High Street for Silver Linings.  Why not stick a couple of hours on the car and enjoy it all!

Please do share this around to help spread the word - the George Street traders miss you all! #PerthLoveFest
