Christmas Time at Uisge

Christmas time at Uisge is a very special experience. You can warm yourself by the roaring log stove while sipping a luxury hot chocolate after a Christmas shopping trip. You could meet for drinks or cocktails with friends and soak up the atmosphere listening to live music or arrange a special Uisge Christmas Menu lunch or dinner with loved ones or colleagues. Or just pop in with the little ones for a quick bite to eat and enjoy taking in the festive decorations and lights.

Uisge will be providing various entertainment over the festive period. Information can be found on the Facebook page in the coming months. The annual Hogmanay bash will take place as usual, on 31st December. Tickets for this event will be available from 1st November and include musical entertainment, welcome drinks and nibbles and stovies after the bells. There will also be the usual free raffle at the end of the evening. Uisge gift vouchers are a great idea for Christmas, they start at £5 and are available to buy from the restaurant or online! 

If you feel like treating yourself to a special festive meal, the Uisge Christmas Menu will be available for lunch or dinner from 1st December to 24th December. Tables of any number can be catered for so Uisge is ideal for everyone. Your company Christmas lunch, a family get-together, a catch up with friends or an intimate dinner for 2.

Starters

Celeriac, roast garlic and thyme soup garnished with smoked pancetta lardons.

Goat’s cheese, caramelised red onion & fig tart with parmesan crisp, served with a sesame seed dressing. (V)

Honeyed Gressingham duck breast with sprout, apple and pomegranate slaw, served with orange crème fraiche.

Mains

Roast turkey crown with homemade sausage stuffing, chipolatas, seasonal veg, port & cranberry sauce, served with turkey gravy.

Seared 8oz ribeye steak, baked beef tomato, roast herb butter with mixed vegetable gratin. (£5 supplement)

Pan roast Loch Etive sea trout with sautéed broad bean, potato, puy lentil & samphire, topped with chorizo crumb.

Winter vegetable parcel with tomato, onion and chard salad (parcel contains; parsnips, sprout, squash, onion, new potato & flaked almonds) (V)

Something Sweet

Sticky fruit pudding (dates, cranberry, apricot, golden raisins) served with brandy toffee sauce, with cappuccino ice cream.

Homemade meringue with spiced poached fruit, served with vanilla Chantilly cream and mulled wine reduction.
