Meet The Open Studios Artists

By 9th September 2016

I'm sure you will all know by now that Perthshire Open Studios is one of the areas most successful annual events.  This year's offering has pulled toegther a staggering 140 venues with over 200 artists from Perthshire and Kinross-shire, showcasing their original works in this wonderful event.

All too often we hear cries of 'there's nothing to do here' and yet for nine days each September you can visit artists in their own creative spaces and discover the hidden talents that are right here on our own doorstep.

ARTISTS Stanley ArtistsThe vast majority of events are free and will give you a chance to see how it is done, ask questions about the processes and be inspired. You might buy a piece you love, find out about a workshop you have always wanted to try or just be tempted to get creative!

Showcase exhibitions at The Bield, Tibbermore and Pitlochry Festival Theatre are a way to see sample works from many of the open studios, all in one place.

We thought we'd catch up with a few of the local artists to find out what they're doing over the last days of the event.
