Blackberry Brew

Gin, glorious gin! We were delighted to hear that Provender Brown's annual Wee G & T Festival is returning for 2019 and it got us in the mood for...gin!

Everything’s better with a good glug of gin, and this sweet blackberry cocktail recipe is no exception. The sharpness of the blackberry balances perfectly with the sweetness of the sugar syrup and when mixed together, it creates a deliciously sweet and sour tipple.

Shake it up for Halloween, bonfire night, a cosy night on the couch or a christmas party with friends, with a chilled Blackberry Brew to hand and let the drinking beGIN!

Ingredients

  • 6 large blackberries plus a few extra for garnish
  • 35ml creme de cassis
  • 35ml sugar syrup
  • 50ml / 5cl Daffy's Gin (I used one of their new miniatures)
  • Dash of lemonade
  • Sprig of rosemary

    Method

    1. Fill your glasses with ice. Muddle the blackberries in a cocktail shaker until they are all smashed up.

    2. Add the creme de cassis, sugar syrup and gin. Give it all a good stir.

    3. Add a dash of lemonade and stir again. Pour into glasses and serve with some extra blackberries and garnish with a sprig of rosemary.
