The Workshop is an art and craft venue that runs regular classes for both children and adults throughout the week. Art classes are led by professional illustrator Jon Hoad and clay classes by local sculptor Julian Jardine.
Children's classes run after school and on Saturday mornings in a light hearted, fun and manic fashion to allow the kids to simply enjoy using art materials. The team will suggest ideas and teach a wide variety of techniques to help participants create wonderful artwork. The Workshop also holds children's birthday parties offering something very different for them to do.
The Workshop run a number of adult classes during the week which cover everything from the complete beginner to more experienced students. The classes are run in a relaxed manner with each person working at their own speed and on their own project. It is an excellent opportunity to unwind from the stresses of life and has wonderful therapeutic properties as well as engaging your creativity.
For teenager's looking to further their career in art Jon also takes portfolio classes which encourage students to try new materials and improve on their existing skills.
