The Scottish Bead Fair

The Scottish Bead Fair returns to Perth for another stunning show!

The Scottish Bead Fair has been bringing the finest in jewellery making suppliers from across the UK to the Fair City for a day of shopping and design inspiration since 2007.

Started by Dawn Cotton Fuge of Perth's own Precious Sparkle, this event has put Perth firmly on the map as THE bead event north of the border. Its a great day out for anyone interested in making jewellery, and is attended by both amateur and professional designers.

Besides a mouth-watering array of items for sale there are jewellery making demonstrations and classes on all day. Always a hit is Martin Tuffnell of Tuffnell Glass who demonstrates lampwork bead making, a truly special artistic medium resulting in beautifully unique beads.

Dawn will be demonstrating jewellery making that incorporates both gemstones and sari silks. Award-winning author/designer Dorothy Wood will be teaching classes on how to make a Soutache Pendant and a Square Rivoli Bezel and Carol Cowie will be teaching the Switchback Bracelet technique.

If you love beads (and who doesn't?!) then please don't miss this special event - there is no end to the inspiration!

Tickets cost £2.50 on the door (under 16s free of charge).
