The annual Southern Fried Americana music festival is fast becoming a much anticipated fixture on Scotland's bustling live music scene. The Festival opens in Perth Concert Hall on Thursday 27 July with Rock ‘n’ Roll Music: The Songs of Chuck Berry.
Chuck Berry has long been regarded by those in the know as the bridge between blues, gospel and the new medium of Rock n' Roll. As the legendary blues guitarist and singer Muddy Waters once said "The Blues had a baby and they called it Rock n' Roll". Well Chuck Berry was the Doctor who delivered that baby.
I'm not the only one who thinks so. Legendary British musicians Andy Fairweather Low, Nick Lowe and American singer-songwriter bring their own unique twist to Berry's songbook and you can come along with this pair of tickets for this unique event. Treat your' best gal or guy or bring along your Rock n' Roll buddy.
Southern Fried are currently finalising a fantastic lineup of singers to complement this amazing band and you can look forward to a diverse collection of festival artists and special guests exploring Chuck Berry's songbook across many musical styles including his greatest hits and a few surprises along the way.
If you can't wait to find out if you've won or if you need more than two then you can book tickets here.
