Full Time Customer Sales Advisor

  • Location: Bell's Sports Centre, Perth
  • Hours: 37 per week
  • Salary: £18,212 - £19,651

Your role is to create membership sales through effective management of the customer journey. To advise our customers on the best products and services available that meets their needs so that they will stay longer as a customer and to monitor performance via company reports against pre-determined targets.


Operational Duties

Key Tasks

  • Actively contribute towards the company’s sales and retention plans to increase membership sales and improve retention
  • Support the effective analysis of the business and in particular membership packages, to identify key areas for development and improved sales
  • Meet with potential and existing members to discuss their needs and identify the appropriate products and services that meet their needs
  • Consider the membership customer journey and identify improvements for action
  • Analyse cancellations trends to assist improved attrition rates by retaining customers who are at risk of cancelling their membership
  • Provide appropriate training for staff on membership sales and procedures, ensuring new starts receive training and any membership updates are communicated to all staff
  • Achieve key performance indicator targets set in relation to sales and retention of the membership packages
  • Contribute to the planning and allocation of the budget appropriate to membership sales and retention activity
  • Attend fairs, shows and other appropriate events to support membership awareness and sales and represent the Company
  • Liaise with Company Managers and provide support to the Fitness Manager with regard to promotions and sales activity
  • Prepare relevant sales and membership information reports and updates as necessary
  • Guide internal ‘site or service’ promotions and venue teams to ensure that sales and retention activity supports service delivery
  • Attend relevant team and company meetings to discuss sales and retention activity and provide appropriate advice and support in respect of promotions, sales, retention and membership development
  • Support the Duty Manager – Conference and Events in the maximisation of income from merchandise
  • Identify leads for business advertising within venues and commercial sponsorship of company products and services

  • To comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and all supplementary legislation
