SCOTLAND SINGS are looking forward to returning to Birnam Arts this November with the next in their series of Renewing the Tradition workshops.

RENEWING THE TRADITION is an exciting Hands Up for Trad Scotland-wide singing project for anyone who loves to sing: beginners and more experienced, and taught by some of Scotland’s best workshop leaders – this year, Penny Stone, an Edinburgh based song leader, community musician, songwriter, singer and activist runs this Birnam workshop.

Penny runs various community singing groups in Edinburgh, as well as using music with patients and staff at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital. She teaches multi-national music and song and uses song-writing to help enable people to find their own voices and voice their own experiences.

Don’t worry if you can’t read music – this workshop caters for both people who can only sing by ear and for those who prefer to follow written music.
