The Original Chair Company is run by Kate MacKenzie. Her love of both antiques and upholstery and a keen interest on interiors was what it took for Kate to start her business back in 2006; creating a bespoke service offering stylish solutions.

Furniture & Interior Design

For over 10 years they've been breathing new life into antique furniture.  Working from their studio in Perthshire, they specialise in custom made bespoke seated furniture, as well as reupholstery of antique chairs and sofas.  And whilst they're masters at creating stunning one off pieces to be passed down the family for generations, their talent doesn't end there as they're also highly skilled in interior design. From lighting to layering, flooring to features, they'll work with you to pinpoint the finishing touches to complete your ideal space.

Fabrics & Wallpapers

The studio houses hundred of inspiring fabric.  Whether you're creating a starting point for a room or working to complete the look, their years of experience help guide and inspire.  They offer a complimentary sample service to your home or office.

Curtains & Blinds

Their made to measure curtain and blind making service help bring the finishing touches to any room.  Their in-house seamstress hand finishes each and every one to ensure a luxury product.

Accessories

From lighting to layering, flooring to features, they work with you to pin point the accessories to bring your room to life.

Showroom Furniture

You'll find ex-display furniture at their showroom, as well as a selection of antique chairs and sofas.
