Perth Museum and Art Gallery Perth
This Summers Design Market is nearly double the size of last year, due to the amazing number of locally based artists creating quality handmade items.
The Summer Design Market is on Saturday 22 June across 2 venues, the Civic Hall at 2 High Street Perth and Perth Museum & Art Gallery, each located and easily reached at either end of George Street, Perth. With 52 makers showing their work between the two locations, these events are free to enter and open from 10-4.30pm.
The varied work includes glass, textiles, artwork, wood, photography, ceramics, jewellery, homewares, gifts & cards, all original designs, hand crafted and limited productions. Many of the artists taking part offer workshops and take commissions and the Design Market is a fantastic opportunity to find out more and start a conversation.
Many of the artists have generously donated an item of work for our on-the-day raffle which will be running at both venues to help raise funds for Culture Perth & Kinross, the independent charitable trust who supports and run these events.
In the weeks running up to the Summer Design Market you can follow several of the artists who will be taking over our Instagram account and follow the Summer Design Market Facebook Event Page for regular updates and lovely images of the work you’ll find at the event.
