Pitlochry 10k, 5k and 1k

From the organisers of the Live Active Race Series, Live Active Atholl are delighted to once again be hosting the ever-popular Pitlochry 10K and 5K Multi-terrain races and, new for this year, a 1K Fun Run for children.  Below you will find details for the day – fortunately, you will be able to return to last year’s venue at Pitlochry Recreation Ground meaning the start and finish areas are at the same location.

Registration:
This will open at 10:00am at Pitlochry Recreation Ground.

Race Briefing:
The race briefing will take place at the start line just prior to each race starting.

Start Times: 

12.30pm - 1K Fun Run (this will incorporate a lap of the Recreation Ground)
1.00pm - 10K
1.15pm - 5K

Assemble at the start area at the Recreation Ground 10 minutes prior to your event.

Entry Fees - 10K:
Early Bird Entry up until 31st May     £16:00 Scottish Athletics Members

                                                           £18:00 Non-members

From 1^st June to 10th September      £18:00 Scottish Athletics Members

                                                           £20:00 Non-members

Entry Fees - 5K:
Early Bird Entry up until 31st May      £11.00 Scottish Athletics members

                                                            £13.00 Non-members

From 1st June to 10th September      £13.00 Scottish Athletics members

                                                            £15.00 Non-members

Please note, due to the popularity of the 10K and 5K events, they are unable to accept entries on the day.

Entry Fees - 1K Fun Run:
This will be £1 per runner - entries for this will be taken on the day.

Presentation:
The presentation is scheduled to take place at approximately 3.00pm at the Recreation Ground.

General Information: 
Parking is available in the field next to the Recreation Ground with entry from the Perth Road opposite the Blair Atholl distillery.  There is also limited parking at Pitlochry Town Hall, which is a 5/10-minute walk to the race start, as well as other public car parks within walking distance. 

Water stations will be located at the half way point of the 10K and at the finish area for all races.

Results will be e-mailed out to all registered athletes and posted on the website here on Monday 18th September.

The Course:
The routes are very scenic - this will be one of the most scenic races you will ever run!

Finalised route maps will be available soon at the Live Active website.

The 10K and 5K will be chip timed.  All athletes will be given their timing chip on race day.  Goody bags and finishers medals will be distributed when you cross the finish line.

A baggage store, changing and toilet facilities, as well as catering outlets will be located at the event venue in the Recreation Ground.

Please note that MP3 Players or IPods should not be used during the event as part of the route is on public roads.  The only headphones that are permitted are bone conduction headphones.
