Perth Races Summer Carnival

The biggest crowd of the year will flock to Perth for one big party, and here at Small City we are extremely excited about it!

There will be live music and entertainment in the Grandstand area from the moment the doors open, so you will want to arrive early to soak it all in.

The centre course will be open but make sure you arrive early, it will be busy and you won’t want to miss any of the action!

GRANDSTAND

The party will get started as soon as the doors open at 13:00, with entertainment in the Grandstand area! The party continues after the racing has finished, with live music in The Barn.

Dress up for the occasion and carry the party on into the city centre in Perth’s pubs and clubs!

Try some of the local beers from the Inveralmond and StrathBaan breweries – available in The Barn throughout the day. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, head to the Lower Nelson for a pint of ice cold Guinness!

Make sure you check out the Parade Ring before you place your bets in the betting ring or the Totes!

It’s going to be a fantastic day in our only Saturday fixture of the season – we can’t wait to see you there!

CENTRE COURSE

The centre course is open and it’s perfect for a day out with the family!

Drive your car right in and enjoy the summer weather – kick back, relax and watch the action unfold.

The sports bar will be open to keep you nice and refreshed throughout the day, with a wide range of drinks available. The kids can be kept occupied by the inflatables while you chill and watch the exciting racing on display.

You can bring your own disposable BBQ’s into the centre course and cook the perfect burgers for you and your family.

Casual, comfortable clothes are perfect for the centre course, but make sure you dress appropriately for the weather. Remember the sun cream and hats if it’s sunny!

WEAR: Dress up for the occasion – continue the party in the city centre in Perth’s many bars and clubs.

EAT: Try some of the slow cooked meats available in The Barn!

FEATURED RACING INFO

This day has been hugely successful since its inception and the feature race of the Carnival Race Day is the Summer Handicap Hurdle – won by 14/1 shot Carinena last year, with jockey Craig Nichol on board.

There will be seven fantastic races on the day with some of UK & Irish racing’s best and brightest heading to Perth for enjoy the carnival atmosphere!
