It's time for a midweek party! The first evening card of the year takes centre stage on Wednesday 17th May and with entry at just a fiver a ticket - it's about to go off in the Party in the Paddock!

We love a party here at Small City, and this one is going to be a big one!

The perfect appetiser before Ladies Day, the Party in the Paddock will get you in the mood! Ideal for students looking for a cheap night out or for those looking to unwind halfway through the working week, you can look forward to a night of exciting racing with a party atmosphere which carries on into the city centre well after the final horses have passed the post!

Have a flutter on one of the seven races on the evening’s card and enjoy some tasty local ales & craft beers from Perthshire breweries. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, you can head over to our Low & Slow BBQ in The Barn for some mouth-wateringly delicious food.

With such cheap entry and great food and drink available, the Party in the Paddock is the perfect warm-up before Ladies Day!

HOT TIPS FROM THE TEAM

WEAR: Smart casual – why not dress for the night ahead and head into Perth’s pubs and clubs to keep the party going!

EAT: Head down to our Low & Slow BBQ in The Barn or try one of the beautiful Highland burgers in the Lower Nelson bar!

SEE: The £10,000 handicap hurdle – who will win the big prize?

DO: Have a flutter on the seven great races on the card – head to the Parade Ring and check form before you pick your winners!

EXTRAS: Sample local ales and craft beers from some of Perthshire’s best breweries.

FEATURED RACING HIGHLIGHTS

The £10,000 handicap hurdle is the most valuable race on the card but another major attraction for race lovers is the Open Hunter Chase – won last year by Catherine Walton on Mister Marker for trainer Nicky Richards. With Ladies Day taking place the following day, head into the city centre afterwards with the racing fraternity who often gather in the pubs and clubs to discuss their tips for the next day!
