Continuing its five-star Edinburgh Festival Fringe show on tour across Scotland, Echoes celebrates the triumphs and histories of the nation’s Superwomen of Science through a blend of music, song, performance and spoken word.

Featuring contemporary Scottish singer and composer Frances M Lynch and Margaret Cameron (BBC Singers), the show has been entertaining audiences across Scotland as it tours the country, engaging with local communities along the way

Echoes from Perthshire has been specially created in collaboration with Culture Perth and Kinross; University of St Andrews’ SHINE project (Astronomy & Physics); Bertha Park High and Letham and Errol Primary Schools. The Scottish “Superwomen” featured include Beatrix Potter and her Dunkeld Postie; Errol’s WW2 heroic marine engineer Victoria Drummond, with music from Perth’s Marjory Kennedy-Fraser.

Created by electric voice theatre, Echoes is a Minerva Scientifica project which aims to bring together professional performers with community musicians and school children, to raise awareness of the rich heritage and deep connections between Scottish music and science, and to inspire the next generation of future scientists.
